It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Steven Michael Lumpkin, who departed this life on June 27, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on July 31, 1969, in Denver, Colorado, Steven was a beacon of joy and laughter, living life to the fullest and touching the hearts of everyone he encountered.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Steven embodied the spirit of camaraderie and service. He had an uncanny ability to connect with people, making friends wherever he went. His warm personality and outgoing nature were complemented by a deep love for the outdoors. He cherished moments spent fishing, riding his motorcycle, and exploring the majestic mountains, finding solace and adventure in nature.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Lumpkin of Coppell, Texas, and his step-daughter, Raelynn Robbins. He leaves behind his beloved brother, John Lumpkin of Denver, Colorado, and girlfriend, Cindy Nienaber, as well as numerous cousins and extended family who will remember him fondly.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Warren Lumpkin and his mother, Jerilyn Long as well as his step-father, Don Long. As we honor his memory, we take solace in the love and laughter he shared with us, and the indelible mark he left on our lives.

Cremation was selected a service will be held at Ft Logan National Cemetery on Aug 3, 2026 at 2:00 pm with a celebration of life to follow at the VFW Post 5061 located at 5220 West Warren Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80227 from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Providing family and friends an opportunity to reflect on the joy he brought into our lives. In this time of remembrance, we invite all who knew Steve to share their memories and stories, keeping his spirit alive in our hearts as we say goodbye to a cherished son, father, brother, and friend. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to a Homeless Veteran Charity of your choice in his memory.
