It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Manuel Alonzo Villalva-Villalobos, who left us unexpectedly on July 31, 2026, at the age of 43. Born on April 24, 1983, in Alamosa, Colorado, Manuel lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and a deep love for his family and friends.

Manuel resided in Monte Vista, Colorado, where he cherished the beauty of his surroundings and the close-knit community he loved. He was a proud father to his beloved children, Mariah Arellano Villalobos and Eloy Arellano Villalobos. The joy he found in their laughter and milestones was immeasurable, and he leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to guide them throughout their lives.

He is also survived by his siblings: Josefina Palma Villalobos, Maria (Pantaleon) Villagomez, Ernesto (Laura) Villalba, and Martin Villalva, who will forever remember his gentle spirit, as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends, all of whom carry treasured memories of the joy he brought into their lives.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Martha and Macario Villalva, who instilled in him the values of compassion and community.

Manuel found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time fishing, where he found peace and contentment in the outdoors. He loved singing and listening to music, and his favorite songs often filled the room with joy. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved cats and his cherished grandpuppy, Myla, who brought him endless happiness and companionship.

Manuel had an incredible gift for making everyone feel valued and loved. His laughter, generous heart, and genuine nature will be missed more than words can express. Friends and family who had the pleasure of knowing him will remember him as a beacon of kindness, always ready with a listening ear, a warm smile, and a caring spirit.

In honoring Manuel's life, funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, beginning with a viewing at 9:00 a.m. at Mountain Valley Mortuary in Monte Vista. A Rosary Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista, followed by the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the services at San Luis Valley Cemetery.
