Manuel Alvarez-Estrada

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Manuel Alvarez-Estrada, who departed this life on July 28, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on April 5, 1956, in Momax, Zacatecas, Mexico. Manuel spent most of the rest of his life in Center and Monte Vista, Colorado.

Manuel was a loving husband to his wife Anna, and a proud father to his sons Anthony, Ralph, Juanito, as well as his daughters Angelica, Renee and Shane. He cherished his family above all else and was known for his kindness, generosity, and friendly spirit. Manuel had a passion for working on cars and an immense love for animals, especially cats and dogs. His fondness for music and delicious home-cooked meals, particularly tortillas and jalapenos, created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all who crossed his path.

He is survived by his wife Anna Marie Alvarez, siblings, Raul (Clemencia) Alvarez and Consuelo (Angel) Alvarez, and his loved chihuahua, Penny. He is also survived by many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family, who all carry forth his legacy of kindness and generosity.

He was preceded in death by his father, Seferino Alvarez-Martinez; his mother, Soledad Estrada-Velasquez and his nephew Jose Antonio Pena. Manuel will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Cremation was selected and a Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 9:30 am with a Memorial Mass at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. Following the Mass inurnment will be held at the Workers Union Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to join us in celebrating his life and the many ways he touched our hearts.
