Kathryn "Linda" Pryor, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and devoted grandmother, passed away with her daughter, Jennifer Spiller, at her side following an extended and courageous battle with cancer on April 20, 2025 at the age of 73. Born on May 28, 1951, in Del Norte, Colorado. Linda grew up in Monte Vista and graduated from Monte Vista high School in 1973.

Linda earned her associate's degree in business administration and worked at Social Services in Colorado Springs for several years. Linda changed her career to healthcare as an X-Ray technician and work for multiple hospitals in Colorado Springs, retiring in 2015 she moved back to Monte Vista to help take care of her dad and be closer to family.

Linda established friendships that lasted a lifetime and was known for her kindness and unwavering support to her friends and colleagues.

A passionate grandmother, Linda adored her grandchildren, Liam and Ember Blair, and cherished every moment spent with them. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-hiking and exploring outdoors. She daily took her beloved dog Tigger for long walks and enjoyed working in her yard. Linda was an avid rock collector always on the lookout for stones to enhance her yard and garden. rock collecting and bird watching reflected her deep appreciation for nature and the world around her.

Family meant the world to Linda, and she maintained strong connections with her siblings- Pat V. (John) Griest, William Pryor, and Michelle (Scot) Schaefer-as well as her nieces and nephews, Clare Griest, James Griest, Kathryn Griest, Robin Pryor, Emily Chick, Liz Garcia, and Simon Schaefer. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Linda was a remarkable friend who cultivated numerous close relationships that lasted throughout her life. She thrived on spending time with those she loved, always willing to lend an ear or give a helping hand.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday May 9, 2025 at the Valley Church of the Nazarene in Monte Vista, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and the profound impact she had on their lives. Details regarding the memorial service will be announced shortly.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Helen Pryor, her sister-in-law Patti Pryor and her niece Erin Pryor.
