Jose Arturo Martinez

Jose Arturo Martinez, a beloved individual known for his dedication to agriculture and his loving, caring nature, passed away on June 19, 2024, in Alamosa, Colorado. He was born on January 12, 1998, in California. Jose was a man of many admirable qualities – he was loving caring, funny, and always looking out for others. His friends and family remember him as a good person with a goofy sense of humor that never failed bring joy to those around him.

Throughout life, Jose found joy in simple pleasures such as listening to music, cruising, hanging out with friends, and most of all, making others laugh. However, his proudest accomplishment was being a great dad to his sons Aiden Soto and Elian Soto-Martinez.

In this time of loss, Jose is survived by his wife Maria Tania Soto, mother Baneza Martinez; siblings, Jesus Duran, Angel Perez-Martinez, Perla Martinez, Jesenia Duran; brother-in-law Miguel Soto; grandfather Jesse Martinez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members who will all miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his brother Carlos Romero and his grandfather Jesse Martinez.

Although Jose has left this world too soon, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.

Cremation was selected and a Memorial Service will be held at St. Francis Jerome Church in Center at 5:30 pm on Friday June 28, 2024.
