Jodella Holt

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jodella "Jody" Holt, 67, of Liberal, Kansas and Creede, Colorado, who departed peacefully from this world on July 24, 2025. Jody spent her last days in her Dream Home nestled within the mountains of Colorado, surrounded by her immediate family. Born on October 14, 1957, in Perryton, Texas, Jody was a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her. 

Jody dedicated her professional life to Human Resources in the banking industry, where her compassion and understanding left a lasting impact on her colleagues and clients alike. Beyond her career, she embraced her roles as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter-in-law with unwavering love and devotion. The joys of her life were profoundly enriched by her family, including her husband, Larry Holt, her mother-in-law LaVon, her daughter Shayla, son Dylan, and her two cherished grandchildren, Renna and Jonas. 

Jody was a devoted follower of Christ, finding strength and solace in her faith, which she shared generously with others. As we celebrate her life, we find comfort in the knowledge that she has returned to His Kingdom, reunited with those who have gone before her. 

A small graveside service for close family was held at the Creede Cemetery on July 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A memorial service open to the public will take place at the First Church of the Nazarene in Liberal, Kansas, on August 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM (central time).
