It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Lee Myers, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on September 14, 2026, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Born on October 11, 1954, in Monte Vista, Colorado, Janet's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.

Janet was a remarkable individual whose passions spanned from her rewarding career as a dental assistant to her cherished life as a farmer. She had a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, but she dedicated herself to her work in both the dentistry industry and farming, growing mainly potatoes and barley with her husband Jack Kuntz.

Survived by her devoted daughter Stacey Gagnon and son Daniel Kuntz, as well as her beloved sister and brother Linda Haverland, and John Myers and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Janet's legacy continues through her family. She was adored and cherished by her two grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Janet was a woman of many interests and talents. An avid reader, painter, and photographer, she found beauty in all aspects of life. Her love for gardening bloomed as vibrantly as the flowers she always planted in the Summer. A true animal lover, she cared deeply for her pets, including her cherished miniature Australian Shepherd, Lia, as well as her farm cat, Paco. Her love for animals extended beyond pets; her compassion for living beings defined who she was.

Janet was deeply involved in her community, volunteering at the local animal shelter, spending many years as the Center school board director, baking Christmas cookies with her family, an active, lifelong member of the Center United Methodist Church, including spending time as the church choir director for many years. She was involved in organizations like Ducks Unlimited and the Santa Maria Mexico Orphanage since the late 1980's. Her strength and resilience shone brightly, especially during challenging times, including her diagnosis, which she faced with remarkable courage. Janet's faith in God never wavered, guiding her through life with certainty and grace.

In celebration of a life beautifully lived, a service will be held at the Center United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m with interment following at Speiser Cemetery on a later date.

As we remember Janet, let us reflect on her kindness, her laughter, her unwavering faith, and love for family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, Janet; your spirit will be greatly missed but remembered in every life you touched.
