Jack Darren Venter, known to his loved ones as Darren, passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 60. He was born on December 28, 1962, in Lamar, Colorado. Darren was a cherished husband, son, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Darren's career was marked by service and dedication. He spent many years working as a security professional for the esteemed Pinkerton Agency, showcasing his bravery and commitment to keeping others safe. Additionally, Darren served with the forest service, where he excelled as a firefighter and trail builder. His efforts to mark timber contributed greatly to the preservation of nature's beauty which he held dear.

Educated at Springfield High School in Colorado and having achieved an Associate's Degree in Science from Lamar College, Darren possessed a remarkable thirst for knowledge. He approached life with curiosity and an eagerness to learn new things.

One of Darren's remarkable qualities was his patience. In every aspect of his life, he embodied a quiet calmness that brought comfort and tranquility to those around him. This quality made him an exceptional listener and confidant; he was always there for family and friends in times of need.

Outside of work, Darren had a deep passion for animals and the great outdoors. He had a special affinity for cats and horses, finding solace in their presence. Being an avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting and exploring nature's wonders.

A true testament to love and partnership was seen in Darren's relationship with his beloved wife Brenda Rippe-Venter. They were a couple who shared their passion for ranch rodeo events. Together they tackled various challenging activities such as team roping, sorting, and penning with grace and skill.

Darren leaves behind a legacy that will be carried on by those he loved most dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack L. Venter. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Rippe-Venter, who stood faithfully by his side throughout their shared journey.
