With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elmer (Ernesto) Moreira-Esparza, lovingly known as Chato or Chatiti. Ernesto was born on April 19, 1986, in Zacatecas, Mexico, and departed this world on August 17, 2026. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend, whose spirit will live on through the cherished memories he created with those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ernesto is survived by the mother of his children, Audrianna Ulibarri, and their four beautiful children-Adalina Priscilla, Sebastian Jordan, Marciano Elmer and Reina Naomi. He is also survived by multiple brothers and sisters, as well as a dedicated family of aunts, uncles, grandparents, and countless friends.
Son of Manuela Esparza and Marciano Moreira. Ernesto was known for his outgoing nature, friendly demeanor, and deep compassion for others. He had a profound love for cooking, often creating delightful meals that brought joy to gatherings with family and friends. His passion for life was evident in his cherished moments spent with his children, instilling shared laughter and love into their lives.
Ernesto was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marciano Moreira, Priscilla Vigil, Naomi Ulibarri who he admired deeply. The bond they shared will forever resonate within the hearts of his loved ones.
Ernesto was laid to rest in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. A Rosary will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday August 29, 2026 with a Memorial Mass following beginning at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa, as we gather to celebrate his life and the profound impact he had on all of us. In honoring his spirit, we will come together to share stories, laughter, and tears, ensuring that his legacy will continue to be a guiding light for his family and loved ones.
May his soul rest in peace as we hold him close in our hearts.
