Dylan Wilson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Dylan Sage Wilson, who joined the Great Spirit on May 1, 2025, at the young age of 27. Born on August 26, 1997, in Salida, Colorado, Dylan was a true mountain man, whose spirit thrived in the rugged beauty of the surrounding landscapes. He made his home in Buena Vista, where he embraced the outdoors through hiking, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and camping, always with a deep appreciation for nature and the adventures it provided.

Dylan was more than a son, brother, and friend; he was a beacon of warmth and resilience. His smile could light up any room, and his eyes sparkled with dreams of the future. He was known for his strength, courage, and intelligence, always willing to lend a hand or take part in an adventure.

Dylan is survived by his loving family: his mother Georganne Hansen, his father Rory Wilson, and his siblings Chandler Hansen and Dominick Wilson. He will be deeply missed by his brother-in-law Sean Slivka, his aunts Marlene Ohde and Terri Collins, his uncle JR Huffman, as well as his grandmothers Carol McCormack and Connie Wilson, and his grandfather Clay Wilson and his loved dog Dakoda.  He leaves behind a large extended family, including great aunts and uncles, many cousins, friends, and a soon-to-be-nephew, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather Chuck Wilson, his grandmother Donna Dodge (Omi), and his cherished childhood pets Shaman and Marley.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember Dylan not only for the time we shared but for the enduring spirit of adventure and love he embodied. He will forever be missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
